The KLASS calendar is an ongoing personal project of our studio with changing topics. ‘Bestiarium’ is the first edition and it plays with the most classic form of all calendars – the animal calendar. But not too strictly: already with the January motif we leave the animal world and show mushrooms. The KLASS calendar is a framework in which we experiment with design forms and with our collaboration. From design to printing and finishing, we create everything ourselves.

The third edition of our ongoing personal studio project is a booklet that you can hang on your wall. Each double page was dedicated to one contrast. We confronted opposites or interwove them, we questioned or reinterpreted and, above all, we called for tolerance. The KLASS calendar is a framework in which we experiment with design forms and create everything from design to printing and finishing ourselves.
Medium: Calendar Category: Personal Title: Ja aber nein Year: 2017 Format: 230x345mm Pages: 14 Special features: Risography printed booklet in 4 colours with thread-stitching
The KLASS calendar is an ongoing personal project that we reinvent every year. The 5th edition was a weekly calendar. Each of the 52 weeks of this calendar was dedicated to a woman who fascinates, moves or encourages us. The result is a mixture of quotes, portraits and inspired designs. The KLASS calendar is a framework in which we experiment with design forms and also communicate content which we find important.

We have accompanied this company since its foundation in 2014 and developed a corporate design and designed all graphic media. The portfolio website of the Klangmanufaktur lives from a clear concept of structure, typography and colour. The menu becomes the central graphic element of the design and each page has the same consistent structure. The digital instrument archive is a functional website on which all information about a grand piano restored in Klangmanufaktur is clearly arranged. The search results can be filtered as required.

In addition to the corporate identity and all print media, we designed an extensive website. It not only describes the history of the place and the Tolpeit family, but also provides information about the hotel’s wide range of services. With impressive pictures and playful graphic details, a special navigation and a stringent colour concept, the website gets a personal and individual touch.

How to support a place with typography? The building at Eschelsweg number 4 dates back to the 60s. It is home to music studios, graphics studios, a hacker and maker’s space and many others that have set up on two floors. We developed a functional typographic guidance system for the whole building, based on an abstract sketch of the house. The lift becomes an orientation point, large letters and numbers in bright colours guide the way.
